Company history
Jayco Australia began in the 1970s as a separate business from the American Jayco of the same name and has since become the largest caravan manufacturer in Australia. It builds caravans, campervans and off-road caravans for the Australian and New Zealand markets.
Australian conditions shape the product more than American ones do: long distances, rough access roads, and a camping culture that expects a vehicle to be self-sufficient for days. That is why off-road caravans are a mainstream format here in a way they are not elsewhere.
The important point for a buyer is that this is a different company from Jayco of Indiana. Spares, warranty and model availability are regional.
