Company history

Adria was founded in 1965 in Novo Mesto, in what is now Slovenia, and spent its early years building caravans. It grew into one of the largest exporters of caravans in Europe, which is why the brand is familiar in countries other than its own long before the motorhome side became visible.

The company builds both caravans and motorhomes, and in recent years has moved up the range while keeping a presence at the more price-sensitive end. Its twin concepts of a compact urban caravan and a full-size family motorhome both have distinct followings.

Being Central European, it is well positioned for the way European sites are laid out, with tight access roads and height-limited pitches being a normal design constraint rather than an afterthought.

Product lines

LineWhat it is

Semi-integrated motorhomesPeer and overcab coaches, the most common self-propelled format in Europe.
Integrated motorhomesFull-height bodies at the upper end of the range.

What to check before buying

  • European widths are tighter than buyers from outside the continent expect. Measure the body before you commit to a route.
  • Check the towing ball and the vehicle's own towing limit against the fully loaded trailer weight, not the empty one.
