Maintenance

  • Tyre pressures, cold, checked with a gauge
  • Tyre age and sidewall condition, looking for cracks or bulges
  • Wheel bearing play and hub temperature
  • Trailer lighting and the 7-pin or 12-pin socket
  • Coupling, safety chains and the breakaway unit
  • Roof seals around vents, skylight and air conditioning
  • Slide-out seals and wipes
  • Awning fabric condition, cleaned and dried before stowing
  • Battery state, terminals and fuse sizes
  • Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms tested
  • Propane cylinder, hose and a leak check with detector foam
  • Spare wheel, jack and handle

Packing
