What it is
Class A gives the most living space for the money if you stay in one place a lot. A galley, a bathroom and a lounge are all fixed in place, so the layout does not change every time you unpack. That is why Class A is the usual choice for full-time travellers and for long seasonal trips.
Why people choose it
The trade-offs are weight, turning circle and height. An 11 m coach needs a wide pitch and tolerates only wide roads, and fuel consumption is high. If most of your driving is in towns, a Class A will punish you at every turn.
What to check before you buy
Check the height before you book. Many European campsites and several European bridges are limited to 2.6–3.0 m, and a Class A with a roof rack or a satellite dish will exceed that. Confirm the current limits with the road authority or the site operator.
